How to Play Hidden Word
Five cards. Five words. Every swap gives you a new letter. Work out the secret word hiding in your hand before your three checks run out.

The R makes CORD. The removed L returns to your hand.
1Swap each card
- Choose one of the five letter cards.
- Choose a letter in one of the five words.
- The new word must be a real word accepted by the puzzle.
- The letter you remove takes the card’s place in your hand.
2Find the hidden word
Use every card once. When all five rows contain valid new words, the five letters now in your hand should spell a familiar secret word.
You have three checks. A check tells you how close the hand is without revealing the answer.
Strategy tips
- Start with the most restricted word. Short words often have fewer useful swaps.
- Watch the colours. They connect every placed card to the letter that returned to your hand.
- Think about the whole hand. A valid word can still be the wrong choice if its returned letter makes the secret word impossible.
- Save checks for real candidates. Arrange the hand into a likely five-letter word before checking.
Can I undo a swap?
Yes. Tap the changed letter or its matching card to return both letters to their previous positions.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
Yes. Everyone receives the same daily Hidden Word, so results can be compared on the daily leaderboard.
